SC EP:1180 The Caveman On The Property

Spoke to the witness who is from Oklahoma and he said “I saw the creature on two different occasions in broad daylight. What I saw looked like a cave man. I was a young man when this encounter took place, I was frozen looking at this thing. Later that night it came to my window.

I have seen so much over the years on this property. I learned many years ago to keep my mouth shut because of ridicule. I recently received some bad news from my doctor, I don’t care anymore what people think. A friend of my mine recommend your podcast.”

Love hearing people’s experiences. Encounters are the interesting things. It was a genius idea to make a show of them. All other discussion about Sasquatch pales by comparison. Many people think Bigfoot is just a thing to look for but never find, like a snipe hunt. I wish they would listen to Sasquatch Chronicles.

In 2021 we tried to buy some land in Push County but unfortunately someone outbid us on it. It’s still our dream to have land in SE OK, Indian Country (I’m a Mvskoke Creek Citizen). That area has a very large population of Hairy Men of the Woods!!!

Haven’t made it thru whole episode but thoughts so far: Ears, he mentioned big ears, can’t say I’ve heard that before. The beam of light hitting the hair and the hair appearing to change color. Very interesting. The freezing and not being able to move when seeing one of these beings. I’ve heard Cliff B. pass it off as some type of physiological response, I don’t think so. This has been mentioned all the way back to First Nations/Native Americans. Most tribes say never ever look them in the eye. From all the reports I’ve heard, I believe this to be true.

Hi everyone . I’m from Nottingham, live on the edge of Sherwood forest in UK. We get the same kind of reports here. But they call it the green man or the woodwose I think it’s the same thing as you guys are seeing.

Dean does a great job recounting his story – he’s very engaging. Really looking forward to Part II. I’ve been in the Antlers area before, but it’s been years. That’s a wild and wooly area, especially to the north and east of town, up in the western Ouachitas.

This is fascinating. Dean’s attention to detail recounting his experiences is phenomenal. I appreciate Dean’s take on what he thinks these creatures are. Clearly there are different types of these creatures. I do not accept that the differences in the appearances and behaviors of these creatures can be explained away as the summation of personal bias & the environmental conditions surrounding the encounter. Cannot wait for part two. TY Dean & TY Wes.

One time there was an episode with the name “Old Baytie” I wonder if that could have been the name. There were people who were not included much in the history books who came with the Spanish and moved into the southern mountains. Moors. people of North African decent and they left a few traces of language behind, we largely have forgotten the settlement that came from the early Spanish colonies and moved north from there, would guess because it was a very limited number of people, but it happened. Settlement leaves words behind.

I know I can’t be the only one thinking this so I’ll say it; could the two brothers have been, how shall I say it? A different kind of hybrid? Maybe that was their daddy or half brother peeking around the house??? To me something feels off about that whole situation

Stoked for part II tonight! Great interview and a great guest. I know not everyone has the gift of good storytelling, but it’s a joy (as the listener) when they do. This guy has it and is knowledgeable. This is why we listen! Thank you, Wes and guest; I’m sorry I don’t remember your name.

Anyone else wondering if those two sons were actually sired by the being that he saw standing as tall as the beams (the old woman who traded with them the beer cans for bales of hay)…the way he described their size , how they looked AND how OFF they seemed…makes me wonder.

This was a great guest. I enjoyed both episodes. Wishing you all the best with your kidney health. My dad went through kidney failure until he got a transplant. It does get better.

Well that was fantastic… Thanks Dean.

You’re a great speaker and very sharp observer. I hate that you were frightened as a young child, but proud it didn’t keep you out of the forest. I’m from East Texas and when I was little I’d sneak off just to go play alone in the woods. I love the smell of the woods., particularly the pine tree fragrance. That an the smell of earth is amazing to me. I’m careful now not to go out alone because now I realize what’s out there besides mere animals.

You answered the ‘what do you think they are question’ about the best I’ve heard. And yes. You’re right, there are records of these so called “creatures” all over the world. I’ll have to listen to the next one tomorrow night. My husband said this was one of Wes’ very best programs. We’ve been listening since 2015.

So. thx and I look forward to hearing the next presentation you do with Wes.

What a terrific episode. I really enjoyed your storytelling Dean, I love your accent. looking forward to listening to part 2. Best wishes from Scotland. I am just back from a camping trip on a logical island- it’s creepy enough without any chance of seeing a Sasquash!

There was a really video, it may have made TV, Im not sure, maybe 15 years ago or so, I forget the area, where 2 or 3 men had been camping , kind of similar to Dean’s experience with his brother. However the tent flap was open and this Bigfoot stood on the outside and pissed all over these men, then of course it took off. Great expereiences Dean and look forward to part 2. This SE region of Oklahoma has so many stories of the Sasquatch and of course the Honobia Bigfoot Festival every year. One of Wes’ very early episodes was “The Siege of Honobia”

Dean may have been referring to the Loup-Garou, what we now call the dogman and or werewolf. Out of centuries ago French lore and French Canadian of Eastern Canada with their setllements in the early 1600s. I first became familar with this in 1965. It was an episode on my favorite Cartoon – Jonny Quest. Then as the French moved down the Mississippi to New Orleans the Cajuns pronounced it Roug-a Roo.
